I created Asset Pilot because I needed a straightforward way to manage IT equipment for several small businesses. Platforms such as Lansweeper are powerful, but their pricing and enterprise-oriented approach are not always suited to an IT provider managing the smaller environments of multiple customers.
My customers regularly ask for an up-to-date inventory of their computers. Maintaining those records in Excel worked, but it was time-consuming and difficult to keep consistently organized as the number of customers, users and devices grew.
Asset Pilot turns that daily need into a shared, structured service. I can maintain each customer's inventory in its own secure workspace, while the customer receives read-only access to their own assets through a dedicated portal.
